A Woodshed weekend, hour by hour. The shape holds every year: Thursday eases you in from mid-afternoon, Friday and Saturday run breakfast to ‘whenever’, and Sunday is a half day so you can drive home.
Why the split groups matter: split-group masterclasses put half the campers in each room, so class sizes stay small enough to ask your question, get eyes on your hands, and actually play. Whole-group sessions bring everyone together on the main stage.

The Food
Eight chef-cooked meals, unlimited drinks, and coffee from first light, all of it included in every package. Served on the covered dining deck over the water, at the same tables as the mentors. The only thing you’ll have to think about is what to play next.
Your chef all weekend
Katie runs RosieJo Meals, and she has spent a decade doing the hardest version of this job: feeding a camp full of athletes, three times a day, food they actually want to eat. She has been the chef at Power Monkey Camp here in Tennessee for ten years running, cooking for world champions along the way.
Nothing is trucked in from a catering company. Everything is cooked on the property, for this camp and nobody else, and it lands on the covered deck over the water while it is still hot.

From Thursday’s opening dinner to Sunday’s breakfast, nobody leaves the property to eat. Eight meals and a cocktail hour, with unlimited drinks and coffee on all day.

Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies, whatever you need. We ask after you book, so the kitchen knows before you arrive. No emailing, no explaining at the table.
Katie and her team cook on the property, for this camp and nobody else. Not a catering company, not a buffet warming under a lamp. Eat with your heroes; they queue for seconds like everyone else.

Woodshed has always been about passing something on. For 2027, Andy Wood and John McCready wanted that to stop being a sentiment and start being a line on the roster, so we’re funding a limited number of subsidized places for players under 25 and students in full-time education.
This is not a lesser version of the weekend: every masterclass, every clinic, every concert, every late-night jam and every meal, exactly like everyone else on the property. The only difference is where you sleep and what you paid.
These places are subsidized by sponsors, donations, and campers who chip in when they book. If that’s you: thank you. You’re helping put the next generation of players on that stage.

Questions
No. All levels are welcome at the Woodshed Guitar Experience, and the rotating small-group format means nobody performs on demand or gets left behind. Plenty of first-timers arrive nervous and leave having jammed with a hero. Our only requirements: you love people and music.
Yes, that's the point. Live Q&A is built into every session, mentors eat at the same tables, and the nightly Camper Jams are exactly what they sound like: you, other campers, and the artists, playing together until late.
We're on Lake Frances outside Crossville, Tennessee, roughly 70 miles west of Knoxville (TYS) and two hours east of Nashville (BNA), just off I-40. Full travel details, arrival windows, and parking info come with your booking confirmation.
Bring your favourite guitar if you like, or travel light and borrow from the racks our partners provide (Suhr guitars, Friedman & REVV amps, Wampler pedals). Your own amp is welcome too; we just ask everyone to be respectful with volume.
Every workshop, clinic, concert, and jam; every meal from Thursday dinner to Sunday breakfast, prepared by a professional chef; your lodging (on cabin, hotel, and camping packages); and use of the grounds, lake, and demo gear. Airfare and travel insurance are the only things on you.
Honestly? They might have the better weekend: lake mornings, deck meals, nightly concerts, campfires, and some of the friendliest people in music. The $599 ($539 with early bird) companion pass covers everything except the instructional classes.
Book any two full player packages together (cabin, hotel, RV, or day passes) and you both save 10% off the total, on top of any early-bird pricing running at the time. It works for friends, siblings, parent-and-kid, bandmates, whoever. The companion pass is separate: that's for a guest who isn't taking the classes.
Three ways to pay. Pay in full at checkout. Choose Shop Pay at checkout to spread it over monthly payments, subject to approval. Or pay a $500 deposit per player to hold your place, and we’ll invoice the balance before camp, in one payment or split across a few if that suits you better.
Cancel any time until 30 days before the event for a full refund minus a $200 registration fee. Within 30 days, registration fees are non-refundable. If we ever cancel the event, every participant is refunded in full.
The dining deck, concert area, and select cabins are accessible; some terrain is uneven. Tell us what you need on the contact form and we'll work out the details with you directly before you book.
